Through the Eyes of CREA Kids

Posted by on April 15, 2011

At CREA, there is no structured kids program, but because so many of the CREA leaders and participants who have children know that this is a great environment for young people, we’ve brought our offspring and created and unofficial program. The program we’ve created for them is very spontaneous, and many leaders have volunteered, with glee, to create a playful, creative experience for the kids at CREA.

Here are a few observations from the heirs of CREA:

Puppets

One day at CREA, Franca did a puppet session. I made a dog puppet, not just any dog, it was the dog of a star! I made it have a rainbow skirt, a yellow shirt, flowers in her hair and diamonds on her collar. Since it was the dog of a star, I decided to make a star but when I made a little bit of sewing, it was time to go.
The end.

Palla Multicolore!

My CREA

Guingo, the biggest kid of all

Guingo is our adopted grandfather. At first, I was frightened of him, but since the footprint making day (when I was little, visiting him at his house in Bistagno), I love him. This CREA he ran a walrus session. First, we listened to a story about the Mr. Walrus, and his adventure to find a new home. We were the inhabitants of the island that he found. Our job was to draw walrus food on a piece of white cardboard. I drew two big fish, a starfish and some seaweed. Guingo said he knew the walrus would love it. Guingo is the best grandfather ever. Ciao, Guingo!
